In March of 1988, Montana Tire Distributor opened their doors at 2005 Hannon Road. Locally owned and operated, the business focused primarily on wholesale distribution of Hankook and Maxxis tires in Montana and Wyoming. Over the years, they have expanded their tire lines to include Toyo, General, and Sumitomo.

 

After 16 years in the wholesale tire business, owner Kim Anderson decided it was time to expand their horizons. He moved the business across town to 421 North 13th Street and expanded the business to include retail sales and mounting of tires. The new warehouse space includes two tire bays and a customer waiting area.

 

As the only authorized Maxxis tire dealer in Montana and Northern Wyoming, Kim feels that Montana Tire Distributor can offer a better tire at a comparable price to other dealers in town. Although the Maxxis name is just breaking in to the scene, the well-known Buckshot Mudder has been very popular with hunters and farmers alike. The entire Maxxis tire line is known for the exceptional wear on gravel or highways with fewer flat repairs due to the extra ply in the face and sidewalls of the tires. Hankook tires are best known for the Z36 all season tire that works well on and off the road. The passenger tire line from Hankook is known for its high mileage ratings and exceptional wear on the highway.
